FAQs

Most Popular Questions

Can I bring a bag?

We understand that a bag can help keep your essentials safe and sound. For your safety, the only bags permitted into BC Place are bags no larger than 6.5” x 8.5”, or clear plastic bags no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″. Exceptions may be provided for diaper bags and medically necessary items that cannot fit into a clear bag. For more information, take a look at our clear bag policy.

Will the roof be open?

Check the stadium’s Instagram Stories and X account on event days to find out of if the roof is open! The retractable centre portion of the roof measures approximately 100m x 85m – effectively covering the area of the entire playing surface. Seated guests remain covered – rain or shine. The status of the retractable roof – either “open” or “closed” – for the duration of any given event is generally determined on event day, in consultation with the event producers and/or the home teams. The roof takes approximately 20 minutes to open or close, during which the field and bowl must be unoccupied. BC Place should be considered an ‘open-air’ stadium whether the roof is open or closed, and guests are encouraged to dress accordingly, based on the temperature outdoors.

Where is bag check?

Bag check is typically located at Gate H for standard Vancouver Whitecaps FC and BC Lions games, or Lot 457 (off Pacific Blvd on Griffiths Way) for concerts and other full-stadium events. Locations may vary, so please check the specific event page for updates. The bag check service is available on a first-come-first-served basis at $10 per piece. Please note, bag storage is at the sole risk of the depositor. By accepting the bag check, the depositor releases the company and their employees from all liability for loss or damage.

Where is the Lost and Found?

Lost and Found Services is located at Guest Services, located on Level 2 at section 234. For lost and found services after an event please email stadium@bcpavco.com or call 604-661-7303.

Does my child require a separate ticket?

Children aged 2 years old and younger do not require a ticket to enter most events at BC Place, including Vancouver Whitecaps FC and BC Lions games, as long as they do not require their own seat. (*Free admission age is subject to change based on the event.) Please do note that children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 19.

Once inside, am I able to leave the stadium and re-enter?

For most events, including concerts, Vancouver Whitecaps FC matches and BC Lions games, there are no in/out privileges. Once you leave the stadium, you may not re-enter. Please see the specific event page for HSBC Canada SVNS rugby, Canada Super 60, trade shows, and other special events for event-specific policies.

Where can I park near BC Place?

BC Place’s central location in Downtown Vancouver makes it most easily accessible by transit. If you’re driving, there are a number of parking lots around the stadium owned by third-party operators like EasyPark, Impark, Indigo, and Westpark. Visit their websites for parking lot information.

Accessibility

Where is the accessible entrance?

While all entrances are accessible, we encourage guests requiring barrier-free drop-off and pick-up to use the Accessible Entrance off Pacific Blvd, located below Gate F and across from Plaza of Nations. This is referred to as the “147 Accessible Entrance.” Please note that there is no parking at this entrance, however nearby third-party parking lots are available.

I have mobility issues. How do I get around the stadium?

BC Place has a number of options to help get you around the stadium. Guests may request assistance to get to/from their seat via BC Place Wheelchairs that are available for temporary use by informing a member of the hosting team, as well as our team members at the Accessible entrance along Pacific Blvd. Our stadium has recently increased the number of public elevators to help guests travel between levels, and our stadium utilizes ramps to different access points.

Can I bring my service dog into the stadium?

Certified service dogs (or service dogs in training) are permitted inside BC Place. All other animals are prohibited.

What if I want to sit with more than one person?

When you are speaking with a Ticketmaster agent, let them know how many people are in your party. Only one companion ticket may be sold with each accessible assignment on the platform. The accessible platforms are located directly in front of full rows of seats. In order to accommodate groups larger than two, the Ticketmaster agent will work with you to seat your party behind you, or as close as possible.

If I use a wheelchair, do I have to buy a wheelchair ticket?

If you use a wheelchair as your primary means of mobility you will require a specific accessible assignment on one of the stadium’s accessible platforms. These platforms are designed for ease of access and unobstructed view of the event. To purchase a space on the accessible platform, call Ticketmaster Accessible at 1-855-682-6736. One companion ticket may be purchased with each accessible platform assignment.

Where are the accessible platforms located in the stadium?

Guests with mobility challenges can access virtually any vantage point in the seating area. Accessible seating platforms are integrated into the main stadium seating throughout the spectator bowl. They are located on Level 200 (Sections 202, 206, 210, 214, 215, 245, 246) and Level 400 (Sections 401, 407, 408, 413, 414, 415, 440, 441, 448).

I don’t use my wheelchair all the time. Is there somewhere I can get dropped off outside the stadium and be helped to my seat?

Yes! BC Place has a dedicated Accessible Entrance located off Pacific Boulevard (referred to as the 147 Accessible Entrance). From there, a member of our Hosting team will provide shuttle service to the nearest elevator. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to provide assistance to your seat.

Can I take my wheelchair into a private suite?

Absolutely! Please call the BC Place Guest Services line on 604-661-3401 or email stadium@bcpavco.com and let us know what event you are attending (including the date) and under which name the suite has been booked. Please let us know at least a week in advance so that we have time to ensure the suite is configured for wheelchair seating.

I am bringing a wheelchair to the event. Is BC Place able to store it for me?

Wheelchairs may be stored at the Stroller Parking located at sections 229 during BC Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps FC matches.

Is there accessible parking at BC Place?

There are a number of parking lots around the stadium owned by third-party operators like EasyPark, Impark, Indigo, and Westpark, each of which have limited accessible parking spots. Visit their websites for information.

Do you offer a quiet place for parents to nurse or feed their babies?

Yes. We offer two Mamava Lactation Pods on Level 2 at sections 225 and 252. Mamava Lactation Pods provide a quiet and clean space for parents to nurse or feed small babies. Follow the directions on the outside of the pod to open the space.

What if I feel overstimulated?

We get it! The stadium can be really loud and overstimulating. Our Guest Services team at Section 234 can provide you with a sensory kit and/or access to our sensory room, located at section 250.

Food and Beverage

Do you offer non-alcoholic options?

Ticketing & Seating

How are BC Place’s seats arranged by numbers, letters, and rows?

Rows on Level 2 start with A at the front and continue back (A, B, C, etc.) to the entrance tunnel. Rows located adjacent to the entrance tunnel begin with AA and continue back (AA, BB, CC, etc.) to the back of the section.

Club Seating on Level 3 starts with row A at the dividing rail between the Level 2 stands (A, B, C, etc.). Rows located adjacent to the entrance tunnel begin with AA and continue back (AA, BB, CC, etc.) to the back of the section.

Rows on Level 4 begin with A at the front and continue to row E at the entrance tunnel. Row AA is located adjacent to the entrance tunnel and continues back to row ZZ.

After entering the seating bowl through the tunnel, seats to the right while facing the field/stage start with 1 as the aisle seat, and continue up to the middle of the row (1, 2, 3, etc.). Seats the left while facing the field/stage start with 101 as the aisle seat, and continue up to the middle of the row.

I bought two seats together but this seat locations state different sections. Are the seats next to each other?

Seats at the very middle of the row belong to adjacent sections but are seated directly next to each other with no aisle in between. For example, Sec 238/Row E/Seat 108 is directly next to Sec 239/Row E/Seat 9 in the middle of Row E between Sections 238-239.

What is the minimum age requirement for attending an event without an adult?

Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by a guardian. The guardian must be aged 19 years or over.

Can BC Place verify tickets I bought from a reseller?

No. The only way to verify authenticity is to have the ticket scanned at the gate on the day of the event. BC Place strongly recommends that guests purchase tickets from Ticketmaster, as Ticketmaster is the authorized ticket vendor for events at the stadium.

Where can I find additional information about the seating position of the tickets I have purchased?

For more information regarding seating, please contact Ticketmaster directly.
