Bruno Mars sets BC Place record

January 16th, 2026

Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour will make an unprecedented four stops at BC Place, setting a new venue record for the most shows by a single artist on a single tour.

Previously, the milestone had only been achieved by Taylor Swift and The Jackson 5, each performing three shows on a single tour.

What began as a single tour stop expanded into a mini-residency, driven by overwhelming ticket demand from across North America. Vancouver is the only Canadian tour stop outside of Toronto and shares the honour of hosting four shows with Los Angeles, East Rutherford, Amsterdam, and Toronto. Presale demand indicated exceptional interest, with tens of thousands of fans joining to cue for general on sale tickets on January 15.

“We’re ecstatic to see the overwhelming fan response to Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour at BC Place,” said Anita Sodhi-Cavezza, Director of Business Development at BC Place. “This is a groundbreaking moment for both our stadium and the city of Vancouver. Adding a fourth show to meet demand and surpassing a record that has stood for more than 40 years is something we’re incredibly proud of. We’re grateful for our continued partnership with Live Nation and look forward to creating more historic moments together.”

When The Jackson 5 brought their Victory Tour to BC Place in November 1984, it was considered the largest-ever pop music event to play the venue. “It was a dazzling display of lights and lasers, mechanized staging and slick choreography, available to anyone who wanted to shell out $40 — and in three nights 107,000 fans did just that,” wrote Steve Newton of the Georgia Straight

It would take 40 years for another artist to bring three tour dates to BC Place. On Dec. 8, 2024, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour joined The Jackson 5 in the history books. Bruno Mars’ four show dates not only set a new record at BC Place but also solidify 2026 as BC Place’s busiest season to date, including most concert dates ever.

Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour lands at BC Place Oct. 14, 16, 17 and 20, 2026. Tickets are available at ticketmaster.ca.
