VANCOUVER, BC – BC Place’s Northern Lights Display will feature a special new illumination showcasing the flags of the participating international teams at the HSBC Canada Sevens on the weekend of March 3-5, 2023.

The 2023 tournament will mark the eighth time that the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series has visited Vancouver, but it will be the first-time full Men’s and Women’s Series tournaments will be run concurrently as part of the event. This has lengthened the event to include a Friday schedule, with 28 teams playing 79 total matches and two Cup Champions being crowned. Tickets remain available at canadasevens.com/tickets.

Community initiatives that will be amplified with the light show during the month include Nowruz/Navroz, International Women’s Day, and International Transgender Day of Visibility, while the stadium illumination will remain off throughout March 25 in observance of Earth Hour.
