Northern Lights Display - August 2020

The stadium's Northern Lights Display is recognized around the world as a landmark of Vancouver’s skyline. BC Place is honoured to be able to help bring awareness to events, charities and non-profit causes that are important to communities in British Columbia.

Here are the stadium's lighting initiatives for August:

August 1st – Rainbow for Pride Week

August 2nd – Rainbow for Pride Week

August 3rd – Red, Blue and Yellow for BC Day

August 4th – Lime Green for Muscular Dystrophy Awareness

August 5th – Green for Gastroparesis Awareness

August 6th – Yellow, Teal and Purple in advance of Cypress Challenge Event

August 7th – Pink and Yellow for PVNH Awareness

August 8th – Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green and Red for Latincouver

August 9th – Orange for World Day of Indigenous Peoples

August 12th – Yellow, Red and Blue for International Youth Day

August 19th – Light Blue for World Humanitarian Day

August 31st – Purple for Overdose Awareness Day

In addition to these lighting initiatives, the stadium will be lighting up with a heart animation at the top of each hour (between 7pm and 11pm) for 5 minutes every night to show support for health care professionals across the province who are working tirelessly to support our communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.
