BC Place Launches 40th Anniversary Beer in Collaboration with Granville Island Brewing

‘40 Years of Amazing’ Hazy Pale Ale is now available at all BC Place events
Vancouver, BC – BC Place and Granville Island Brewing have partnered to create a special-edition beer in celebration of the stadium’s 40th anniversary year, available exclusively at BC Place.
“This year is all about BC Place honouring our guests. This beer is a tangible way for us to say ‘cheers’ to the fans who have helped make history within these walls,” said Chris May, General Manager of BC Place. “Granville Island Brewing has been a Vancouver staple for as long as I can remember, and I couldn’t imagine a better partner to bring this collaboration to life”.
On June 19th, 2023 marked BC Place’s 40th birthday, and the start of a yearlong campaign celebrating four decades of iconic memories. The new Hazy Pale Ale, aptly named ’40 Years of Amazing’, is the newest addition to the stadium’s lineup of 40th anniversary initiatives. Earlier this year, BC Place launched special-edition popcorn boxes, aluminum cups, and its iconic 40th anniversary contest – offering a prize of two tickets to every single public event at BC Place in 2024.
"Just like BC Place, our Brewery has been creating unique experiences and occasions for people to come together for 40 years. Needless to say, we jumped at the opportunity to celebrate with our partners across the creek,” said Brendan Dalton, Brand Manager, Granville Island Brewing. “The design portrays a variety of events and activities at BC Place and through some special printing work, each label has a unique colour pattern to mimic the uniqueness of everyone's own experiences in this stadium".
