BC Place lights up for Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples

BC Place will glow orange for Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples on Friday, August 9th.
There are an estimated 370 million indigenous people in the world, living across 90 countries. International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is commemorated annually on August 9th to raise awareness of the needs of these population groups. The date was chosen in recognition of the first meeting of the UN Working Group on Indigenous Populations held in Geneva in 1982.
