BC Place is more than home of the BC Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. As Canadaʼs premier sport venue BC Place has been a proud host to a wide range of world-class international sporting events. We welcomed the world as the Official Ceremonies Venue for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and as the host venue of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final. We continue to build on our experience – our goal is to ensure every event at BC Place is a success.

Our versatility truly shines during international sporting events. We can accommodate a full house at our 54,500 seat capacity, or we can create a more intimate and thrilling atmosphere for 27,000 guests by deploying our revolutionary secondary ceiling. The most advanced artificial playing surface in North America is found right here at BC Place, having received both World Rugby and FIFA 2-Star designations. The turf transforms into a rigid surface for courts or dirt - we have the versatility to create your ideal setting.

We’ve welcomed sporting events ranging from NCAA Basketball to NHL Hockey to NFL Football and Supercross Motorsports. In the process, we’ve set record attendance figures for events such as the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Quarter Final match.
