June 13th, 2024

The 1,000-capacity patio will showcase the best local live entertainment, food and drinks

Vancouver, BC – There is a new way to celebrate Vancouver’s best months this summer. For the first time ever, BC Place, Western Canada’s largest multi-purpose event venue, is opening the city’s largest licensed outdoor patio at Terry Fox Plaza with capacity for over 1,000 guests.

The pop-up patio will be hosted on the long weekends in July, August, and September, and will feature the best local musical talent, a variety of social-worthy food and drinks, and an outdoor space perfect for summer get-togethers. Entry is free and is open to guests of all ages.

"At BC Place, we are all about bringing people together. This summer we'll be extending the vibrant and entertaining atmosphere we're known for by creating our own special event, The Patio, to bring together our community," says Chris May, GM of BC Place. "We’re incredibly proud of how we continue to transform our space into an engaging place where memories and connections are made.”

To kick off the series, The Patio at BC Place will be transformed into Vancouver’s largest backyard patio for the July long weekend.
