BC Place to celebrate 2022 graduates with confetti illumination in June

Stadium’s Northern Lights Display also to feature special dynamic shows on National Indigenous Peoples Day and Canadian Multiculturalism Day

VANCOUVER, BC – Among next month’s schedule of light shows on BC Place’s Northern Lights Display will be a feature of falling pink confetti on the evenings of June 7 and 24 to celebrate the graduating classes of 2022. Also coming this June is a colourful display specially designed for National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, celebrating the heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

BC Place is introducing a new Northern Lights Display dynamic rainbow show on June 27 in recognition of the various cultures that bring the country’s society to life for Canadian Multiculturalism Day. Other shows on the schedule for the month are Lou Gehrig Day for ALS Awareness, World Blood Donor Day, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, and World Refugee Day.

BC Place is recognized around the world as a landmark of Vancouver’s skyline and a place of pride for all British Columbians. Besides enhancing the overall guest experience during events, the stadium’s Northern Lights Display is used for causes that have a positive impact in our community.

Wednesday, June 15: purple for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day
Monday, June 20: light blue for World Refugee Day
Tuesday, June 21: special animation for National Indigenous Peoples Day
Thursday, June 23: red & blue for Global HHT Awareness Day
Friday, June 24: confetti show for 2022 graduates
