BC Place glows teal for PMDD Awareness Month

April 24th, 2021

BC Place will glow teal for Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) Awareness Month on Saturday, April 24th.

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a cyclical, hormone-based mood disorder with symptoms arising during the premenstrual, or the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and lasting until the onset of menstrual flow.

Symptoms include cycles of depression, hopelessness, overwhelm, anxiety, and in severe cases suicidal thoughts and behaviors.

April is PMDD Awareness Month where patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers around the world raise awareness of this often debilitating disorder.
