BC Place glows blue for Alzheimer's Awareness Month

BC Place will light up blue in support of Alzheimer's Awareness Month across Canada on Wednesday, January 6th.
Alzheimer's disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disease that destroys brain cells, causing thinking ability and memory to deteriorate over time. Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging, and is irreversible.
More than 1 million Canadians have some sort of connection to dementia. Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause for dementia, accounting for 60-80% of all diagnoses.
