BC Place lights up in support of the Cypress Challenge

BC Place will glow yellow, teal and purple tonight in support of the annual Cypress Challenge, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.
The Cypress Challenge has gone virtual in 2020 with riders pledging to achieve 12km of distance and 900m of elevation between August 3rd to 9th to raise awareness and funds that will enhance pancreatic cancer research in BC.
Since 2008, the challenge has raised over $3.5 million towards finding solutions for the 800 British Columbians who are estimated to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. Seventy-five per cent of these patients won’t survive the first year, and less than 10 per cent will survive five years.
