Whitecaps FC single match tickets go on sale Friday

January 16th, 2020

With less than 50 days until the start of the 2020 MLS season, Vancouver Whitecaps FC have announced that single match tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday, January 17th at 10am.

The pre-sale for Whitecaps FC season ticket members and ‘Caps Club members will take place on Thursday, January 16th at 10am.

"The excitement is really starting to ramp up as we approach our February 29 season opener," said Mark Pannes, Whitecaps FC chief executive officer. "This is two weeks earlier than we’ve ever put our single match tickets on sale. Preseason kicks off next week, and everyone at the club is putting in the work to make sure that we have an incredible matchday experience and home field advantage for our team. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at BC Place."

The ‘Caps are primed for an exciting season on and off the pitch at BC Place, with big-time events filling the calendar as the club celebrates the community. Below are just a few of the matches that fans won’t want to miss:

Saturday, February 29th vs. Sporting Kansas City – Home Opener
Be there from the first kick as head coach Marc Dos Santos leads a revamped squad in front of the Vancouver faithful for the first time in 2020. Two new star strikers are expected to make their MLS debuts with the ‘Caps Lucas Cavallini going head-to-head with former Liga MX rival Alan Pulido.

Saturday, April 11th vs. Los Angeles Football Club
LAFC suffered only four losses during their record-breaking 2019 season, and one of those was at BC Place. Dos Santos will look to again better his former club and build momentum in his second year in Vancouver. Maxime Crépeau and his Canadian cohorts will be amped to get the best of national teammate Mark-Anthony Kaye and reigning MLS MVP Carlos Vela.

Saturday, June 13th vs. Seattle Sounders FC – Pride Match
Fans are encouraged to get their tickets early for this match, as demand is already high. Always one of the biggest sporting events of the year, the ‘Caps welcome long-time Cascadia rivals Seattle Sounders FC to BC Place. Dos Santos and his team will be looking to avenge two dramatic finishes during the 2019 season and make a statement to the rest of the league. To top things off, this summer evening affair will be the club’s eighth annual Pride Match, celebrating inclusivity. The atmosphere for this one will be electric!

Saturday, July 4th vs. FC Cincinnati – Youth Soccer Appreciation Night
Paired with the BC Provincial A Cup weekend in Surrey, youth players from across the province will be welcomed to BC Place. Celebrate the future of our sport and community. With American side FC Cincinnati rolling into town, the Blue and White will look to spoil the fourth of July for their Southern neighbours as former ‘Caps captain Kendall Waston returns for the first time.

Saturday, July 25th vs. LA Galaxy
Zlatan or not, it’s always a big occasion facing this MLS original. The ‘Caps have had some memorable battles against this California club over the years, including a thrilling victory in LA near the end of the 2019 season that featured breakout performances from Theo Bair and Inbeom Hwang.

Sunday, October 4th vs. Portland Timbers – Fan Appreciation Day
For the fourth time in their MLS existence, Whitecaps FC will end the regular season against their fierce rivals from the Rose City. Playoff-positioning is often on the line in these late-season battles. With Fan Appreciation in full effect with giveaways and prizes, the ‘Caps will look to send their supporters into rapture with another memorable victory against the Timbers.
