BC Place glows blue for Prostate Cancer Awareness

BC Place will glow blue on Sunday, June 16th, for Prostate Cancer Awareness.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer to affect Canadian men. 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with the disease in their lifetime. Over the past 20 years, death rates have dropped by 40 per cent but an estimated 4,100 men will still die from prostate cancer this year. When detected early, the survival rate for prostate cancer is close to 100 per cent after five years. Detected late, it drops to 28 percent.
