VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC will face Hamilton's Forge FC of the Canadian Premier League (CPL) in the semifinals of the 2025 TELUS Canadian Championship. Visit whitecapsfc.com for ticket information.
Semi-Final
- First Leg: Forge FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC – Wednesday, August 13 (4 PM PT / 7 PM ET) at Hamilton Stadium (Hamilton, ON)
- Second Leg: Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. Forge FC – Tuesday, September 16 (7 PM PT / 10 PM ET) at BC Place Stadium (Vancouver, BC)
The winner between Forge FC and Whitecaps FC will host the 2025 TELUS Canadian Championship Final on Wednesday, October 1. The Canadian Championship winner will lift the Voyageurs Cup and qualify for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup. Earlier this year, Whitecaps FC made a run to the final of the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Whitecaps FC are three-time defending Canadian Champions. If the 'Caps lift this year’s Voyageurs Cup, it would tie the record for the most consecutive titles by a Canadian club with four, and the first time it would have happened since CPL teams entered to expand the field. Toronto FC completed the four-peat as the lone MLS side in a three-team field in 2009 and 2010, and in a four-team tournament in 2011 and 2012.
The 'Caps made it to the quarterfinals after a 4-3 aggregate series win over Winnipeg's CPL club Valour FC. Forge FC made the semifinals after getting past MLS side CF Montréal for a second straight year, 3-2 on aggregate.
The other semifinal will be played between CPL sides Vancouver FC of Langely and Atlético Ottawa.
