BC Place gives back during the holiday season

BC Place and Centerplate staff celebrated the 2018 holiday season by giving back to the community on Sunday night. Over $3,200 was donated to programs benefiting at-risk youth, while 20 boxes of non-perishable food items were collected for the food bank.

Aunt Leah's Trees

By purchasing centerpieces through Aunt Leah's Trees, BC Place is proud to have contributed $1755 towards funding programs that help foster youth who are at risk of homelessness and mothers in need.

For over 20 years Aunt Leah’s Christmas Tree Lots have been raising money to fund programs that help prevent children in foster care from becoming homeless, and young mothers from losing custody of their children. To learn more, visit www.auntleahs.org/social-enterprise/tree-lots.

Kids Up Front Foundation

A 50/50 raffle raised $1460 for Kids Up Front Vancouver.

The Kids Up Front Foundation provides entertainment, educational and recreational opportunities to children through the distribution of unused tickets and by creating special events that help to heal, bond and unite. For more information, visit www.kidsupfrontvancouver.com.

Greater Vancouver Food Bank

BC Place and Centerplate staff collected over 20 boxes full of non-perishable food items to donate to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank provides assistance to over 27,500 people weekly. Of that group, 44% are children and seniors. To learn more, visit www.foodbank.bc.ca.
