BC Place and Vancouver Whitecaps FC are excited to introduce the next level of in-seat food and beverage service for ‘Caps fans in the Pitchside Club for a limited time trial! Simply SCAN the code on your armrest, ORDER from your mobile device, then EAT!

 

Ready In-Seat Ordering is an innovative technology that allows fans within the Pitchside Club section at BC Place to order food and beverages right to their seat using their own mobile device. Simply scan the QR code on your seat, browse the full Pitchside Club menu, add food and drink items to the cart, and submit payment – all without registering or downloading an app! Orders are sent straight to the kitchen where staff will prepare your order and deliver food and drinks right to your seat.

 

‘Caps fans in the Pitchside Club will have an exclusive opportunity to trial the free service during Whitecaps FC home matches on May 16th, May 26th and June 9th. BC Place will then review the service to ensure it is providing the best possible experience for guests at the stadium. What exactly is Ready In Seat Ordering?

Ready In-Seat Ordering allows fans at BC Place to order food and beverages right to their seat using their mobile device without the need to download apps or register for an account. Each seat with Ready In Seat Service is uniquely coded with a QR code that ensures orders are processed and delivered to the right seat.

 

Who Can Use Ready In Seat Ordering at BC Place?

Any Whitecaps FC guest seated within the Ready In Seat service area (currently Pitchside Club section only) who has a Smart Phone with internet connectivity can access the Ready In Seat Ordering site to browse the menu and place an order.

 

Why is it only available for matches on May 16, May 26 and June 9?

BC Place is working to ensure this innovative new technology is a positive experience for everyone who uses the service. As such, the development team is trialing the service for three matches and will assess the effectiveness of the service before making a decision to deploy it to a wider group of fans. Your feedback regarding any aspect of the Ready In Seat Ordering service is very much appreciated!

 

How much does the service cost?

Regular In Seat ordering is currently available for free, with no additional charge. There will be no additional service charges for Ready In Seat Ordering for the duration of the trial, or the remainder of the 2018 season.

 

When is Ready In-Seat Ordering available to use?

Ready In Seat Ordering service is available for guests in the Pitchside Club section on May 16, May 26 and June 9 - from when gates are open, until the conclusion of regular food and beverage service.

 

How do guests get a receipt of payment?

Guests will have the option to enter an email address in order to receive a digital copy of their receipt.

 

What if the guest scans the wrong seat?

If a guest scans the wrong seat, they can choose to scan the correct seat to refresh the process, or manually select their seat number.

 

What if the guest moves from their seat after they have ordered?

All orders are processed with the NAME and SEAT NUMBER of the guest on the order chit. The Centerplate staff delivering the order will quickly verify that the name on the order matches the name of the guest upon delivery.

 

Who is available to help if I have difficulty placing an order?

Your regular Hospitality and Hosting team will still be available to take orders from you, or to assist with any issues you have during the event at BC Place.

Why do I have to agree to the terms and conditions in order to use Ready In Seat Ordering?

By acknowledging the terms and conditions, the guest agrees: a) to have their credit card charged, and, b) for their encrypted credit card information to be transmitted temporarily to PCI-DSS compliant service providers located in Canada and the United States (Bypass Mobile, Moneris and Spreedly) to facilitate the payment of their order.
