BC Place is most iconically recognized for its retractable roof – the largest in the world. When retracted, the roof reveals over 7,500 square metres of sky. Below, our floor can be transformed from solid flooring to turf, lending itself to a multitude of events, conferences and tradeshows.
Our FIFA ‘2-Star RECOMMENDED’ playing surface converts to create the largest column-free indoor space in Western Canada. Suspended above the field is the world’s second-largest 4-sided centre hung HD video board, which is surrounded by 54,500 seats and more than 50 suites and hospitality lounges.
Each night our stadium lights; aka The “Northern Lights Display” lights up Vancouver in celebration of events, commemorative dates or charitable causes. These lights serve as a beacon for all who visit, welcoming the world to our stadium and to our city.
