CONTACT Winter Music Festival is returning to BC Place!

Western Canada’s largest winter music festival is returning to BC Place December 26 and 27, 2017.

CONTACT is a two day indoor EDM (electronic dance music) festival. Now in its sixth year the festival is returning to BC Place for two days of incredible performances this winter! Headliners Marshmello and Armin Van Buuren are only the beginning of an impressive line-up of acclaimed EDM artists from around the world.

The festival is presented by Blueprint and Live Nation Canada. “CONTACT has become a staple of the Western Canadian music scene,” says Alvaro Prol, Blueprint Co-Founder and Talent Buyer for the festival. “I’m particularly proud of this year’s line-up which showcases all-time greats coupled with new and emerging acts. Our goal was to ensure this event had something for all of our fans as well as festivalgoers who’ve heard about CONTACT.”

Additionally, the festival offers BC Place the chance to showcase the technological and visual capabilities of the stadium. Festival-goers will see the venue transformed into a sci-fi inspired vessel! The impressive visual displays combined with the electronic dance music create a high energy experience which looks, quite literally, out of this world!

BC Place welcomes Coldplay!

BC Place is excited to welcome Coldplay to Vancouver as part of their ‘A Head Full of Dreams Tour’ this Friday, September 29!

Since March 2016, the ‘A Head Full of Dreams Tour’, produced exclusively by Live Nation, has played to over 2.5 million people across Latin America, the U.S. and Europe.

The British band gained global recognition in 2000 with their breakthrough track ‘Yellow’ from their iconic ‘Parachutes’ album. Coldplay have proved themselves an enduring favourite of critics and fans alike with their seventh studio album, ‘A Head Full of Dreams’, selling more than five million copies worldwide since its release in December 2015.

This will be Coldplay’s first Canadian tour in five years so it is anticipated to be a popular and busy event. Guests are encouraged to visit the BC Place website for information and FAQs prior to the event. Parking is limited and the use of public transit is encouraged to avoid delays on the day.

The band will also be joined by supporting acts Alina Baraz and Tove Lo. US singer Alina Baraz will be the first supporting act of the evening. Alina has been gaining popularity worldwide with her debut album ‘Urban Flora’. Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo was a special guest for Coldplay’s European tour dates and also features on the track ‘Fun’ on Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ album. We are thrilled to have two very talented artists perform here at BC Place with Coldplay.

BC Place has had a busy summer of concerts and we are excited to end the season on a high with this spectacular show.

Doors open at 5pm this Friday with the show beginning at 6.45pm. Be sure to arrive early to not to miss out on any of this Adventure of a Lifetime!

*Additionally, please note that Parq Vancouver will be opening on the evening of Friday, September 29, and a concert is also scheduled at Rogers Arena. These 3 events will create a high volume of traffic in the area.

BC Lions kick off 2017 Season with Tailgate Party!

The BC Lions are kicking off their 2017 Season this Saturday with their famous ‘Tailgate Party’ (presented by Nissan) starting at 5.30pm at Terry Fox Plaza! Enjoy the festivities before heading inside to watch the Lions take on the Edmonton Eskimos at 7pm. In addition to the unique tailgating experience that only football offers, there’s plenty for families to enjoy too – face painting, poster making and a Lions kids club section! Grab your friends & family and join us at the best spot in town!
The patio is sure to fill up, so be sure to arrive early to crack a Bud and soak up the sunshine and atmosphere!

Keep in mind that our patio will be open ‘weather-permitting’ before major events including Whitecaps FC matches and BC Lions games.
