BC Place and Lights of Hope

November 17th, 2015

WHAT IS LIGHTS OF HOPE?

The St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation’s spectacular “Lights of Hope” is an annual fundraising campaign to raise money for patient care, research and equipment at St. Paul’s Hospital. An incredible $2.62 million was raised in 2014, exceeding the goal of $2.5 million and setting a new for the second year in a row! Now moving into its 18th year, Lights of Hope has turned into an annual holiday tradition which brings thousands of visitors to Downtown Vancouver throughout the Holiday season.

BC PLACE’S INVOLVEMENT

Dozens of Lights of Hope volunteers descended upon BC Place back in September, using the stadium’s vast open spaces to untangle and organize more than 10 kilometres of fairy lights! The gigantic display is then built using the fairy lights and other donated materials for the big reveal on Thursday, November 19th. BC Place is proud to support this exciting community initiative by donating a space for the campaign volunteers to work on the displays!
